About the artist

Kalle Pitkänen creates paintings and sculptures about our beliefs and relationships to nature, life and death. Works have been inspired by subconscius imagery and the smallness of humankind in the grand scale of universe.

 Paintings are done with oil paints and tempera, often with the use of various materials such as ash, metals and plants.

Pitkänen works and resides in Raisio, Finland.
